Ankeny PD Arrest Central Iowans For Child Exploitation

(Ankeny, IA) -- A man and woman from central Iowa are facing multiple charges, related to the sexual exploitation of a minor. Ankeny Police have arrested 43-year-old Todd Schulz of Polk City and 44-year-old Aimee Staudt of Van Meter after a year-long investigation. Ankeny police say the investigation began after a tip from the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children task force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children related to the sexual exploitation of minors. Police say Schulz and Staudt had been in relationships with their victims. Police say all victims involved in the investigation have been contacted.

Schulz is facing the following charges:

Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony - IA 706.1 & 706.3(1) – Class C Felony

Sexual Exploitation of a Minor - IA 728.12(1) – Class C Felony

Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – IA 728.12(2) – Class D Felony

Invasion of Privacy – IA 709.21 – Aggravated Misdemeanor

Child Endangerment – IA 726.6(7) & 726.10 – Aggravated Misdemeanor

Staudt is facing the following charges:

Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony – IA 706.1 & 706.3(1) – Class C Felony

Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – IA 728.12(1) – Class C Felony

Invasion of Privacy – IA 709.21 – Aggravated Misdemeanor

Child Endangerment – 726.6(7) & 726.10 – Aggravated Misdemeanor
