(West Des Moines, IA) -- Over 30 high school and college students participated in a charity hackathon in West Des Moines on Saturday.

The non-profit Devs Do Good hosted the event with the purpose of giving students interested in computer science an opportunity to complete a technical project, such as building a website.

The programmers were guided throughout their projects by mentors on site.

The next Devs Do Good event will take place on January 29th.

People looking to get involved in the event or organization can visit devsdogood.org.
