Austria is about to begin a national lockdown which will initially last for ten days, and the country is also bringing in nationwide mandatory vaccinations.

The Austrian Chancellor, Alexander Schallenberg, said the nationwide lockdown will begin Monday and was designed to stop the spread of a fourth wave of the Rona.

"We do not want a fifth wave," Schallenberg said, according to ORF. "Nor do we want a sixth or seventh wave."

And that's not all. Starting on February the first of next year, vaccinations will become mandatory for all according to the public broadcaster ORF.

Are you concerned that the US will also try and do this?
