(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The City of Cedar Rapids is announcing their plans for incoming funds from the national infrastructure bill. Mayor Brad Hart said he don’t know how much money Cedar Rapids will get, but the priority will be to build a new 8th Avenue Bridge. The current bridge is over 80 years old and was underwater during the Flood of 2008. The new bridge will be elevated higher to avoid flooding.
