(Johnston, IA) -- Johnston's new outdoor ice rink opens this weekend. Johnston will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the rink at the Johnston Town Center at 1:00 p.m. Saturday. There will be several holiday activities at the event including a visit from Santa Claus and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The rink will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the holiday season.
