(Bennington, NE) -- The city of Bennington is creating a 50-acre, 10-million-dollar sports complex in the spring. The complex will feature seven full-size athletic fields, walking trails, and even a dog park.

Bennington Mayor Zac Johns tells 6 News he hopes the complex will attract more people to the city.

“It’s going to bring many many people from outside our community into our community on a regular basis and that’s really important for our community and economic development especially since this is so close to our downtown area and the heart of our economy,” said Johns.

Construction on the complex is set to begin in the spring.
