John Deere reports record profits in spite of strike

(Undated) -- John Deere saw profits from August to October, even in the midst of the union workers' strike.

Deere reports earnings from August to October reached $1.28 billion.

Documents show the recent fiscal year was the most profitable ever for John Deere, earning $5.96 billion.

The record marks a 68-percent increase from the previous record earnings from 2013.

The United Auto Workers union members voted to accept a contract agreement with Deere & Company on November 17th.

61-percent of the union members voted to ratify the contract, which included ten percent raises and increased benefits.
