(Ames, IA) -- Iowa State University Athletic Director Jamie Pollard says he has testicular cancer. Pollard wrote a letter to Cyclone fans Wednesday saying the cancer was discovered after he experienced groin pain on a run four weeks ago. Pollard says he had surgery to remove the testicle last week. He says the cancer hasn't spread and his bloodwork is coming back normal. The letter can be read here.
