(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines police identify the suspect who was hit and killed by a car while fighting with an officer on the city's south side. Police say 31-year-old Donald Hill of Des Moines was fighting with officer Curt Brass in the middle of Southeast 14th Street near Watrous Avenue Monday night when a car drove by and hit both of them. Police say Hill died and Brass suffered serious injuries but will survive. Police say Hill had a narcotics-related warrant out for his arrest and a barred driver's license. The driver of the car who hit him and the officer won't be charged because the crash wasn't avoidable.
