(Iowa) -- The Iowa Hawkeyes will play in the Citrus Bowl without one of their top players.
Running back Tyler Goodson announced Friday that he will not play in the Citrus Bowl to prepare for the 2022 NFL draft. Goodson is a junior and has been the Hawkeye's leading rusher in the past three seasons. In 2021 alone, he rushed for 1,151yards and 6 touchdowns.
The Hawkeyes will play the Kentucky Wildcats on January 1st in Orlando.
