Iowa's Unemployment Rate Continues to Drop

(Iowa) -- Iowa's unemployment rate continues to fall.

Iowa Workforce Development says the state's unemployment rate fell to 3.7 percent in November from 3.9 percent in October. 3,100 Iowans joined the workforce in November, and 38,400 are back to work compared to November of last year. The leisure and hospitality industry saw the biggest job gains last month. Nearly 1.6 million Iowans are working across the state.

The nation's overall unemployment rate also fell to 4.2 percent.
