(Columbus, OH) -- The Nebraska women's volleyball team finishes the 2021 season as NCAA tournament runner ups.
10th seeded Nebraska was swept by 4th seeded Wisconsin in the regular season, and the Badgers got the best of the Huskers one more time in the National Championship.
Nebraska won the first set 22-25, but lost the next two sets 31-29 and 25-23. The Huskers would bounce back in the fourth 25-23, setting up a five-set match for the national championship.
Nebraska fell to Stanford in the previous five-set national championship in 2018.
Looking to avoid a repeat of history, the Huskers fell to Wisconsin in the 5th set of the championship 15-12, after the Badgers jumped out to a 7-0 lead.
