Adventureland Changing Ownership, Palace Entertainment to Acquire Park

(Altoona, IA) -- Adventureland Resort is changing ownership. The Krantz family has owned the Iowa resort since 1974, but Palace Entertainment is now taking over the properties.

Adventureland Resort features the Adventureland Park, Waterpark, Inn, Campground, Spectators Sports Bar & Grill and more.

An excerpt from Palace Entertainment's press release reads:

"We are excited about adding Adventureland into our portfolio," said John Reilly, Chief Operating Officer of Palace Entertainment. "We specialize in parks and venues that create experiences to be enjoyed over a lifetime, from childhood to young adulthood to parenting and grandparenting. We are investing in Adventureland to expand its current lineup to include eight new family rides in 2022, plus two all-new attractions for the 2023 season."

Adventureland Platinum Season Passholders will now be able to visit other Palace Entertainment parks for free, such as Noah's Ark Waterpark in the Wisconsin Dells, and Kennywood near Pittsburgh.

According to the press release: Palace Entertainment operates more than 60 different attraction assets globally.
