WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- November is another strong month for Iowa home sales.
The Iowa Association of Realtors says home sales last month were up four percent from a year ago, with 4,054 homes sold in November 2021.
The association also says houses sold in November also went for more money, with prices up just over seven percent with the median sales just under $193,000 compared to $180,000 in November of 2020.
Also, houses sold last month went quickly--spending 34 days on the market, compared to 49 days a year ago.
Iowa Realtors say the year-to-date sales total through November is 44,944 properties which equates to a 5.4 percent increase from this time period last year.
