(Adair Co., IA) -- A man's arrested after police say he was shot by law enforcement during a car chase in southwest Iowa. The Iowa Department of Public Safety says police and sheriff's deputies started chasing Charles Bradshaw in rural Adair County Wednesday night after he refused to stop for a traffic violation. Public Safety says a Stuart police officer hit Bradshaw's car and Bradshaw later hit a Guthrie County sheriff's deputy's car. Public Safety says after Bradshaw stopped an Adair County sheriff's deputy saw him with a gun. The deputy then shot him in both arms, leaving him with non-life threatening injuries. Bradshaw's charged with eluding, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and several traffic violations. The sheriff's deputy who shot him is on administrative leave while the case is being investigated.
