(Omaha, NE) -- Two teens are arrested in connection with the murder of an Omaha South High School freshman.
Omaha Police say on Wednesday, investigators booked a 16 year old male at the Douglas County Youth Center for 1st-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony in the death of 14 year old Isabella Santiago. A second 16 year old male was booked for 1st-degree murder.
Santiago died after being shot at 37th and P Street Wednesday, December 22nd. Omaha Police say officers were called to the fire station at 25th and L Street after Santiago was driven there from the scene at 37th and P. OFD medics transported Santiago to the Nebraska Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
