(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A man from Cedar Rapids is under arrest after running from police and trying to steal multiple cars while carrying a rifle.
Cedar Rapids police say they were investigating a hit-and-run Thursday in the northeast part of town when 34-year-old Tyler Deemer ran from the scene with the gun.
Deemer then reportedly ran into a home in the 800 block of Greenfield Street, confronted the people inside and tried to steal a car from the garage. The case eventually ended on foot.
