(Washington, DC) -- The Biden administration plans to spend $1-billion to help independent meat processors. The White House says the plan will increase competition in the market and reduce costs for consumers. The administration says the money will come from the American Rescue Plan. President Biden is meeting virtually with farmers from across the country to talk about the challenges of competing with larger processors.
