(Des Moines, IA) -- Over 100 car accidents were recorded by Des Moines police and the Iowa State Patrol on New Year's Eve. The State Patrol responded to 77 crashes between 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday, they say there were no fatalities. Des Moines police responded to 28 crashes within that time. DMPD also recorded 12 fireworks reports, 12 complaints of loud music, and 10 gunshot reports over New Year's Eve.
