Two Teens Accused Of Killing Girl In South Omaha Identified

(Omaha, NE) -- The two teenagers accused of shooting and killing another teen in Omaha are identified. Court documents say 16-year-old Christian Hernandez is charged with first-degree murder, unlawful intentional discharge of a firearm at an occupied car, and two counts of using a firearm to commit a felony. Sixteen-year-old Samuel Lopez is charged with accessory to first-degree murder. Prosecutors accuse Hernandez of firing at least ten shots into a car near 37th and P Streets last month, killing Omaha South High School student 14-year-old Isabella Santiago. Lopez is accused of driving the car Hernandez was in. They’ll appear in court on February 8th.
