The Omaha National Weather Service office says a Wind Chill Advisory will be in effect from midnight Wednesday until noon CST Thursday for portions of east central and southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
The Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro Area and Lincoln are included.
Forecasters expect very cold wind chills as low 25 below zero.
Emergency room doctors say cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
