(Undated) -- An Omaha native is named the first female manager of a Minor League Baseball team. Over the weekend Rachel Balkovec was named manager of the Tampa Tarpons. The Tarpons are a low-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. Balkovec has been a hitting coach with the Yankees organization since 2019. She graduated from Skutt Catholic High School in West Omaha in 2005.
