(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines residents are weighing in on how they want the city to spend its coronavirus relief money. The city conducted a survey back in December. The majority of the over 250 people who were surveyed said they want Des Moines to spent its coronavirus relief money on residential amenities. Over 100 people also said they would like to see the money spent on roadway improvements, social and environmental justice, and enterprise infrastructure. The full results are available here. Des Moines has until December 2024 to decide how to spend its $95-million in federal money and until 2026 to spend it. The city says it should be ready to spend the money this summer.
