(Lincoln, NE) -- The sale of alcohol could be allowed at the Big Ten Wrestling Championships in Lincoln in March. The Nebraska Board of Regents is meeting on February 11th to consider allowing alcohol sales at the Pinnacle Bank Arena event. The sale of alcohol on University of Nebraska property has been prohibited since 1999. The Board says it’s only considering alcohol sales at the wrestling championships, not any other Nebraska sporting events. The Board could also give the University of Nebraska system president the authority to allow chancellors to allow alcohol consumption on their respective campuses. The wrestling tournament is scheduled for March 5th-6th.
