(Omaha, NE) -- Douglas County approves a study into what it will take for a new mental health center in Omaha. Douglas County Supervisors have voted to have consultants look into the cost and time line of construction of a mental health center in Omaha. The goal of the project is reportedly to help people with mental issues in the county jail and in the community. The Omaha World Herlad reports this project could take up most or all of the county's federal $55-million-dollar COVID relief money for 2022.
