(Ankeny, IA) -- Ankeny is in search of new candidates to be firefighters. The city announced it is hiring full-time and part-time firefighter EMT/paramedics. The city says those who are currently a Paramedic or enrolled in Paramedic school will be given preference. Salaries for full-time firefighters range from $55,000 to just over $85,000 a year.
