(Council Bluffs, IA) -- Three people including an Iowa State Patrol trooper are hurt after a multi-car crash near Council Bluffs. The trooper was responding to a single-car crash on I-29 in southern Iowa overnight when another car hit a guard rail and crashed into the trooper’s cruiser. Two people in the second car are also hurt. One person has life-threatening injuries and the other has minor injuries.
