The Omaha office of the National Weather Service reports bitter cold wind chills are expected during the nighttime and morning hours for the next few days.
Dangerous wind chills of -20 to -30 will be most widespread Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
WOWT 6 News Senior Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord calls Wednesday a "First Alert Day" with dangerous wind chills during the morning hours, though some improvement during the afternoon.
He says Thursday is also a "First Alert Day" with the increased threat of some daytime accumulating snow.
