(Undated) -- The phones were down Monday at the Bridgestone tire plant in Des Moines as the company investigates a potential international security leak.

In a statement to news media, Bridgestone, the largest tire manufacturer in the world, is confirming they learned about the possible breach early Sunday morning and have disconnected facilities in North and Latin American to try to prevent any impact.

Some employees at the plant in Des Moines were sent home Sunday because of a possible attack. One worker in South Carolina says they were also sent home because of a hack at corporate.
