(Madison Co., IA) -- The Iowa State Patrol identifies the teenager that died in a recent car crash southwest of Des Moines. The State Patrol says 16-year-old Jacob Short of Indianola was speeding near Winterset around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning when he lost control of his truck and crashed into a tree. The State Patrol says he died after being trapped inside the truck. Three passengers survived the crash, 15-year-old Halley Brown, 17-year-old Blake Feuring, and 18-year-old Cameron Johnson. The State Patrol says alcohol was a likely factor in the crash.
