(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines Water Works has released an updated plan for how the proposed Central Iowa Water Works merger would look for more towns to consider. The document shows details of its long-range plan for drinking water needs, setting water rates, and updates to the plan. Central Iowa Water Works could begin as early as January of next year affecting the bill by mid 2023. The plan shows how towns and customers can save money with a merging water utility. West Des Moines, Des Moines, Urbandale, and Waukee have already agreed to join the utility plan. You can read the detailed plan here.
