Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced her bid for re-election at a rally on the Iowa State Fairgrounds yesterday.
“Today, I am officially launching my re-election campaign for governor of the state of Iowa,” she said. “As long as I am governor, Iowa will be a state where you can live your life freely, not have to wake up every morning worrying about the next thing the government will do to you, your business, or your children.”

The language is interesting to me. I have unfortunately - and I do mean that - described Iowa as one of the free States of America. I am always sad when I make that distinction because of course that means there are States which are not free.
“With a victory in November, we can ensure Iowa remains a beacon of freedom, liberty, and unlimited prosperity. A state known for unmatched opportunity," the Governor added and concluded, "the best is yet to come.”
