Omaha Fire investigators say careless disposal of smoking materials accidentally caused an early Tuesday morning fire at an apartment unit northeast of 144th and West Center Road.
Just after midnight, firefighters were dispatched to the scene on a call of a small fire on a deck of a multi-unit apartment building.
Firefighters took about 15 minutes to put out the fire before it could spread on the outside of the building.
No injuries reported;
