Light snow is in the National Weather Service forecast for now, but they say the pattern is favorable for a band of moderate to heavy snow to develop over parts of northeast Nebraska between midnight Monday and noon Tuesday.
NWS forecasters expect precipitation this week across eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. In some areas, rain, and in others, snow;
The heaviest amounts of moisture are forecast to the south and east.
WOWT 6 News Senior Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says rain could start late Monday afternoon, but heavier rain will come along this evening for the rest of the night and Tuesday morning.
