Last night at the 94th Academy Awards, Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith - Will Smith's wife. It was a joke about her shaved head and GI Jane. In 2018 she told the world that she had hair loss.

Will Smith got up from his seat, went on stage and slapped Rock across the face. The comedian looked visibly shocked.

But there is this picture (below) after the encounter which shows both of them with smiles on their faces.

Smith returned to his seat after the slap and continued to yell at Rock. “Keep my wife’s name out of your f— mouth,” he shouted.

Later, Smith quite rightly won the Oscar for best actor for his performance in King Richard. In his acceptance speech he apologized to everyone... except Rock.

"I wanna apologize to the academy. I wanna apologize to all my fellow nominees," he said. "This is a beautiful moment and I'm not crying for winning an award. It's not about winning an award for me, it's about being able to shine light on all of the people."

"Love will make you do crazy things," Smith added.

So was it all a set up or was it real?
