(Undated) -- 2024 could be the first year in 50 years all eyes won't be on Iowa for the presidential election. Members of the Democratic National Committee’s Rules and Bylaws Committee met virtually Monday to discuss the idea of ending the Iowa caucus. Some members on the committee argued the state isn't diverse enough to speak for the nation and it shouldn't hold a caucus for tradition's sake. The committee is considering Iowa hold a primary only like most other states in the nation. The committee meets again in April. The Iowa caucus has reached national attention for years and brings in millions of dollars for local economies.
