That's according to U.S. News and World Report, which ranks Iowa as the 41st-best research medical school. U.S. News and World Report says Iowa also has the 16th-best primary care program. U.S. News and World Report says the top research medical school is Harvard. The University of Iowa also ranked 36th in the country for the highest number of graduates practicing in rural areas.
