(Des Moines, IA) -- Google Fiber is making its way across the Des Moines area with its next stop in Des Moines. Google Fiber announced Tuesday it has begun the process of providing faster internet to the city and is currently working on the permit process. Google's Central Region General Manager Andy Simpson says Google Fiber is hoping to expand its footprint in all central cities. Google fiber is already providing service in West Des Moines. Google Fiber expects to start construction later this year.
