Iowan Killed At Pearl Harbor Coming Home

(Sioux City, IA) -- A young Iowan killed during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor is finally coming home. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced Thursday Navy Storekeeper 3rd Class Harry Nichols has been identified using dental and DNA analysis. He was identified almost three years ago, the announcements are only made after the family has been found and notified. Nichols was killed on the USS Oklahoma on December 7th, 1941. He will be buried next month in Sioux City.
