AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Iowa is $3.80. That's nearly six cents cheaper than a week ago, and 12 cents cheaper than a month ago.
If you're looking for the cheapest gas in Iowa, Henry County would be where to look. The average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Mount Pleasant goes for $3.48.
Majority of the state sees prices under $4.00 per gallon when going to the pump, unless you go to Ringgold or Allamakee county. Both see prices around $4.01.
The average prices for a gallon of unleaded in Iowa's Metros are the following:
- Ames - $3.88
- Cedar Rapids - $3.77
- Council Bluffs - $3.74
- Des Moines - $3.78
- Dubuque - $3.89
- Iowa City - $3.84
- Quad Cities (IA only) - $3.77
- Sioux City - $3.80
- Waterloo-Cedar Falls - $3.82
