(Undated) -- Employment experts in Iowa say half of the workforce would look for a new job if they were required to start going back into the office.

"Most employees that are currently working remotely are looking to continue to work remotely or in some type of a hybrid capacity," says Jill Smith with Robert Half staffing in Des Moines.

She says a majority of employers want to bring workers back in-person at least part-time, but that there are benefits to keeping a remote work option.

"It can attract more skilled applicants," says Smith. "It helps with retention of current employees. It increases agility and resilience."

Experts have said some perks of remote work include workers setting there own schedule, being able to dress how they want every day and being able to exercise more easily during the day.
