(Dyersville, Iowa) -- The owners of the Field of Dreams are releasing their plans for an expansion of the famous movie site.
On Thursday, the new owners of the Field of Dreams announced plans to build a nine field baseball and softball complex, a dorm for teams, and a hotel to be completed by 2023. By 2025, the owners are planning to build a 100,000 square foot fieldhouse, an outdoor amphitheater, an RV park, jogging trails, and more. The Field of Dreams owners say the expansion will leave the original movie site intact.
Contracts for the first two phases of construction have already been awarded by the Dyersville City Council.
