The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says a former employee is now under arrest.
They say the Nebraska State Patrol arrested 32-year old Nikki Peterson for unauthorized communication with a committed offender and sexual abuse of an inmate.
Both are felonies;
Corrections says Peterson had worked as a unit administrator at the Community Corrections Center - Lincoln.
Peterson resigned her position upon her arrest.
Hired in 2008, she has also worked at the former Diagnostic & Evaluation Center and Central Office.
