(Undated) -- Agriculture experts in Iowa say people should not have problems finding eggs this Easter weekend - but they may have to settle for something different.

"There may be certain instances when people might go to a shelf and maybe they won't find the exact [brand of] eggs that they're looking for," says Sam Funk, Director of Agricultural Analytics and Resource for the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.

Egg prices are about 13% higher than they were a year ago. Experts say reasons include the recent bird flu and support for Ukraine, but also inflation.

"I think the stronger portion of this is actually because of general price inflation that we've seen," says Funk.

More than 13 million birds in Iowa have been killed to combat the contagious bird flu.
