(Ankeny, IA) -- Controlled fires will burn in Ankeny again Tuesday. Parks and Recreation says controlled burns will be conducted at Vintage Pond off of SW State Street and Summerbrook Park near 1st Street and I-35. The city has been doing the burns since early April and will continue through mid-May. The city says it uses prescribed burning as a natural management tool in the native seeded areas in the parks.
