Deadly SW Nebraska Wildfire Being Contained

A wildfire in Nebraska is mostly contained.

The Nebraska Forest Service announces the "Road 702" wildfire in southwest Nebraska is 75 percent contained, and crews are continuing to make progress in fighting the fire, which broke out on April 22nd.

It has burned more than 41-thousand acres, and claimed the life of a veteran first responder, retired Cambridge, Nebraska Fire Chief John Trumble.
