UPDATE: Des Moines Police Say Vehicle Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run Found

(Des Moines, Iowa) -- Des Moines Police say they've found and impounded the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident Thursday afternoon.

Police say a teenage girl was hit by the vehicle a little before 3:45 Thursday afternoon near East High School. The victim was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries, and police say she died of her injuries Thursday night.

So far no arrests have been made, and the owner of the vehicle has not been identified. An investigation into the accident continues.
