(Des Moines, IA) -- A production company planning on filming a Field of Dreams prequel this summer have announced some general filming locations in Iowa. Liz Gilman of Iowa's film office, "Produce Iowa" says filming till likely take place in July in Polk County, as well as in Boone, Oskaloosa, and Clinton. NBC Universal announced last year, plans for a seven-part Field of Dreams prequel, to air on NBC's Peacock streaming service.
Gilman says the production company will likely put out call for temporary, Iowa-based employees to help with the production as well as try out for roles as extras in the film.
Produce Iowa is also conducting a training session June 4th and 5th for those interested in becoming a production assistant. She says space is limited, and registration is required. Those who are production assistants would working full-time for approximately six weeks. Those hired must be at least 18-years-old.
She says there could also be opportunities for those who own catering, cleaning, or other services to be involved in the project.
