(Burlington, IA) -- About 430 United Auto Workers union members are on strike from the Case New Holland plant in Burlington. The strike started Monday at noon, 36 hours after the labor agreement between the employer and the union ended Sunday at midnight. This is the same union that received a new contract from John Deere last fall after more than ten-thousand workers in three states including Iowa were on strike for more than a month. About 600 more union workers at a Case New Holland facility in Racine, Wisconsin, are also on strike.
