In addition to a life sentence, a man convicted of killing an Omaha realtor receives an additional 47 years for a use of a deadly weapon conviction.
In Douglas County District Court, 44-year-old Ross Lorello III receives the life sentence after being convicted in February of First-Degree Murder.
Prosecutors say Lorello shot and killed 70-year-old Michael "Mickey" Sodoro in a rental property near 193rd Avenue and W Street in December of 2020.
The case will go through a mandatory appeal process.
